Answer: The media is able to pick and choose what to make important. Because of this, the issues that we as the public are made aware of often revolve around the personal agenda of those publishing it. Something that could be important but won't have people hop on to comment is likely to not get published due to the reputation of the source. Therefore, we are less likely to see it and will assume that since it's not all over social media and large news companies, it's unimportant. Something that is gossip juicy however may, in reality, be unimportant, but it is very likely to get shared and made a big deal out of, thus giving us the illusion of importance. This affects Elections by hyping up drama about canidates. The drama can be good or bad and will have an effect on how people vote depending on what rumors they hear. This also affects people's trust in the government.

Are lower-class girls more strictly supervised than upper- and middle-class girls? Is control stratified across class lines?
Maksim231197 [3]

Answer:

Yes, lower- class girls are more strictly supervised than upper and middle class girls. Somehow, control is stratified across class lines.

The thinking of a person is influenced by the society in which a person resides. Most lower class societies tend to impose many kinds of restrictions on the females due to which these females are much more conservative than the females of the upper or middle class societies.

Roger looks back on his life and feels that he failed to reach his potential, squandered opportunities, and hurt a lot of people
ratelena [41]

Answer:

Roger is slipping into C. despair.

Explanation:

Despair refers to the absolute loss of hope, a complete and deep feeling of sadness, of sorrow.

In this case, Roger feels he was never able to reach his potential and opportunities and that he hurt a lot of people. We know he is feeling despair because he knows and thinks it is too late to make amends. We can see he has lost all hope of making things right.

diamong [38]

Answer:

A, B, A, C

Explanation:

I already knew what these words meant, but if you had to guess simply choose the answer that is totally the opposite from the other answers. for example, for question 2, nauseating and boring are both similar kind of answers, both negative words so i would guess B, impressive. Also depends on the context of course, and the paragraph you were looking at seemed pretty positive
