Answer:

Law of independent assortment states that the traits we receive from our parents through inheritance are independent of each other.

This principle was established by Gregor Mendel, who developed this law where four main concepts are established.

The first of these is that genes do not exist in a unique way, but they do so in several alleles. The second concept says that these alleles come from one of each parent, that is, they are not inherited from one.

Third, during the process of meiosis these are separated and leave each gamete with a single allele which will leave a single trait. The final concept states that heterogocyte alleles show a complete domain.

One of these principles, now known as Mendel's law of independent assortment, states that allele pairs separate during the formation of gametes. This means that traits are transmitted to offspring independently of one another.

Answer:

a. one allele from each parent

Explanation:

An allele in biological sciences is one of the possible forms of a gene that it can inherit. Most genes have two alleles, a dominant allele and a recessive allele. When Gregor Mendel crossed a tall plant with a short plant, the F1 plants inherited an allele for tallness from the tall parent and an allele for shortness from the short parent.
