DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid. The deoxy- in the DNA is a short term for deoxyribose. The nucleic acid molecule has three parts; sugar, phosphate and a base. The phosphate in the DNA acts as a backbone of the molecule. It is also responsible for the DNA’s ‘double-helix’ structure. The base has four codes namely adenine, thymine, cytosine and guanine. Adenine and thymine are bse pairs whereas cytosine and guanine are base pairs. They are not to be interchanged. Resulting in one cause mutation in the gene.

The relationship between adenine and thymine is that they are base pairs.

Further Explanation:

The nucleic acid makes the DNA. The nucleic acid is made up of nucleotides. Each nucleotide is made up of a phosphate group, deoxyribose, and a nitrogenous base. DNA has mainly four different types of a nitrogenous base.

 • Adenine
 • Cytosine
 • Thymine
 • Guanine

RNA also contains guanine, adenine, and cytosine but they do not contain thymine They contain uracil instead of thymine. Chargaff’s rule said that the amount of thymine is the same as the amount of adenine. Also, the amount of guanine is equal to cytosine. The adenine base is paired with thymine in DNA but in RNA adenine pairs with the uracil. The guanine base is paired with the cytosine.

DNA undergoes a replication process wherein duplication of the double-helical structure takes place. It then moves further and forms an RNA molecule through a process called transcription. RNA undergoes RNA processing followed by post-transcriptional modifications which further release out mRNA, rRNA, and tRNA molecules. All the three kinds of RNA enter into the last phase of central dogma called translation. During this, proteins are formed.

Explain Cellular Respiration clearly.
aleksley [76]
Cellular respiration is the chemical process that makes energy required for day-to-day metabolic functions of an organism. The resulting energy is in the form of a molecule called ATP (adenosine triphosphate). There are two types of cellular respiration: aerobic and anaerobic, but both types start with glycolysis. Glycolysis is the breakdown of glucose molecules which makes some ATP.

Aerobic respiration uses oxygen. It occurs in the mitochondria of cells. The overall chemical formula for this is
C6H12O6 + 6CO2 ---> 6CO2 + 6H20 + 38ATP
In this process, there are multiple stages: glycolysis, Krebs Cycle, and Electron Transport Chain (ETC). All of these stages are used to make ATP, but ETC makes the greatest amount of ATP. The other stages create reactants needed for ETC.

Anaerboic respiration does not use oxygen and is also called fermentation. It occurs after glycolysis. There are two types of this: lactic acid fermenation, which occurs in muscle cells and produces lactic acid, and alcoholic fermentation, which occurs in yeasts and can make bread and alcohol. The process produces some molecules that can produce more ATP in glycolysis.

Select the correct answer. Which form of birth control could people use without altering hormonal systems or blocking sperm from
frez [133]

Answer:

Fertility awareness

Explanation:

Fertility awareness involves the woman being observant about different pointers during her menstrual cycle. This method is not the safest.

Studies have shown that a woman is less likely to get pregnant few days after completing her menstruation but very fertile around 12-14 days before her next period comes up.

This form of birth control doesn’t involve altering hormonal systems or blocking sperm from fertilizing an egg

How is a wavelength measured?
konstantin123 [22]

Explanation:

a wavelength is calculated by determining the distance between corresponding points on consecutive waves. Normally this is done by measuring from peak to peak or from trough to trough. When it comes to light, you can only see wavelengths of 400 to 700 billionths of a meter.
