What does it mean that humans can change materials?

Biology

Explanation:

The impact of humans

The Earth is the source of all the resources we need, such as metals, plastics and fuels. Humans are very successful living things. We compete with other organisms for many natural resources. These include:

land (for farms, buildings and roads)

water (for drinking, watering fields, and industry)

The world’s human population is increasing, and this means that we are using more resources all the time.

Population growth

The human population in the year 1800 was about 1 billion, and now it is more than 7 billion (more than 7,000,000,000).

Deforestation

Humans have been cutting down trees for thousands of years. We do this to clear land for farming and building, and for wood to use as a fuel or building material.

Forestry is sustainable as long as forests are allowed to replace themselves, or are replanted after felling, but often this is not done. The result is that the world’s forests are steadily shrinking.

The slideshow maps show the loss of forest across the world over the last 10,000 years:

Pollution

We produce waste whenever we make or transport objects and substance. Waste materials include:

household and industrial rubbish

chemicals from industrial processes

smoke from burning fuels

harmful gases from burning fuels

They damage the environment and are a waste of resources.

Can someone write the first paragraph
Katena32 [7]

Hii!!

The purpose of mitosis is to create two new perfectly identical cells when either there is a need to replace old or damaged cells and to reproduce asexually by making new cells. Some organisms use mitosis to replace body parts. For example starfish replace lost arms by mitosis. Some organisms such as the hydra use mitosis to produce genetically identical offspring.

There are four stages of mitosis: prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase.

1) Prophase: chromatin into chromosomes, the nuclear envelope break down, chromosomes attach to spindle fibres by their centromeres

2) Metaphase: chromosomes line up along the metaphase plate (centre of the cell)

3) Anaphase: sister chromatids are pulled to opposite poles of the cell

4) Telophase: nuclear envelope reforms, chromosomes unfold into chromatin, cytokinesis can begin

● The order of the stages of mitosis can be remembered using the mnemonic PMAT.

Hope this helps!! if it has pls mark me as the brainliest Xd :D

huntington disease is a dominant disease caused by expansion of the trinucleotide repeat region of the htt gene that results in
Travka [436]

By haphazardly introducing a transgene harboring a disease-causing mutant variant of the HTT gene into the genome of a mouse or primate, it is possible to produce an animal model with the majority of the symptoms of this condition. Here option B is the correct answer.

Huntington's disease is an uncommon, genetic condition that results in the gradual degeneration of brain nerve cells. Huntington's illness, which frequently results in mobility, cognitive, and psychological problems, has a substantial impact on a person's functional capacities.

A DNA region known as a CAG trinucleotide repeat is involved in the HTT mutation that causes Huntington's disease. Three DNA-building building pieces that are repeated several times in a row make up this region.

Complete question:

Huntington's disease is a dominant disease caused by the expansion of the trinucleotide repeat region of the Htt gene that results in the production of a Huntingtin protein with an expanded number of glutamines. An animal model with most features of this syndrome could be created by

A - knocking in a wild-type copy of the Htt gene to a mouse or primate genome.

B - randomly inserting a transgene containing a wild-type allele of the Htt gene to a mouse or primate genome.

C - randomly inserting a transgene containing a disease-causing mutant allele of the Htt gene into a mouse or primate genome

D - knocking out one copy of the wild-type Htt gene from a mouse or primate genome.

E - knocking out both copies of the wild-type Htt gene from a mouse or primate genome.

Nature vs Nurture debate.

Explanation:

Development in human is inborn. The stages of development is dictated and directed by expression of genes encoded by the DNA.Therefore physiological and biochemical interpretations of these DNA dictates is known as human development. it is a fixed mechanisms which is fastest at childhood, and progressively slower at advanced stage.Although environmental factors may influence this developmental stages, the exact mechanism of occurrence is constant and fixed.

Nuture concept believe that, human development is as a result of societal and cultural factors in the environment, and the progression of the development is due to the influences of theses factors on human perception of life. Thus Human development is acquired through life exposure and experiences. They are therefore dynamic, and not static, but fluctuates based on level of exposure in the environment.

However, both concept interacts with one another to ensure an holistic human development. Generally it is the interaction of the environment with genetic that explains the concept of natural selection and evolution of human race.
