To rotate a shape around the Y axis to form a cylinder, you would need two points on the same X axis,

When the shape is rotated it needs to be a cylinder, so the shape you need has to be either a square or a rectangle.

you can pick any X and Y coordinates that would make a square or rectangle as long as one other X is the same as Point A.

You can use Point B (0, 0), Point C (1,0) and Point D (1,3)

Fill in the table below by naming each prism and identifying the number of faces, vertices, and edges for each one of them.
Zarrin [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

A prism is a solid figure and geometric in nature having the shape of its ends parallel to each other and its sides are parallelograms. Each prism are classifies based on the shape of its ends that are parallel to each other.

The name of the prism given in question according to their arrangement from left to right are triangular prism, trapezoidal prism, pentagonal prism and hexagonal prism.

Triangular prism is made up of 5 faces, 6 vertices and 9 edges

The trapezoidal prism is made up of 6 faces, 8 vertices and 12 edges

The pentagonal prism is made up of 7 faces, 10 vertices and 15 edges

The hexagonal prism is made up of 8 faces, 12 vertices and 18 edges

Convert y − 3 = 1/3(x − 6) to standard form.
qaws [65]

The equation of a straight line in "standard form" resembles Ax + By + C = 0.

Starting with y − 3 = 1/3(x − 6) (which is the equation of a line in point-slope form), remove the fractional coefficient 1/3 by multiplying both sides of this equation by 3:

3y - 9 = x - 6.

We want all terms except for 0 to appear on one side of this equation. Subtract 3y from both sides, obtaining:

-9 = 1x - 3y - 6

Finally, add 9 to both sides, obtaining:

0 = 1x - 3y + 3

This result has the form Ax + By + C = 0, and is thus in standard form.

Mr. Doyle mowed 2\5ths of his lawn. His son mowed 1\3rd of it. Who mowed most of the lawn? How much of the lawn still needs to b
kondor19780726 [428]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Dad: 2/5

Son: 1/3

Who mowed most of the lawn? Dad, of course. 2/5 is larger than 1/3. 2/5 is 40% and 1/3 is 33.333%

How much of the lawn still needs to be mowed?

2/5 + 1/3 + X = 1 [1 means the whole lawn. X is the remaining portion.]

6/15 + 5/15 + X = 1 [Convert each fraction so that they have a com,mon denominator. This also shows that 2/5 (6/15) is larger than 1/3 (5/15).

11/15 + X = 1

X = 1 - 11/15

X = 4/15 left to be mowed.

How much does Mr. Doyle have left to mow?

We'll assume each rate is the same, 2/5 for Dad and 1/3 for son.

4/15 left to be mowed.

Dad will mow 2/5 of 4/15, so (2/5)*(4/15) = 8/75 left of the original yard

Son will mow 1/3 of 4/15, so (1/3)*(4/15) = 4/45 left of the original yard
