Why does amylase from saliva stop working in the stomach? what other organ produces amylase?
Novosadov [1.4K]
Amylase is an enzyme, which are protein molecules that help in the breakdown of complex substances. Enzymes have optimum conditions in which they operate, which also include specific pH ranges. The pH in the stomach is too low for amylase to work in, so amylase is denatured and does not perform its function in the stomach.

The other organ producing amylase is the pancreas.

Answer:

there is this girl young i saw at the grocery store. she had blonde hair, blue eyes, and shes fairly short. she was very intresting. She was always doing something like, talking, hanging out with her family, and doing her favorite thing. dont ask her what her favorite actiyity was though. when she sould just answer "cheer" she would go on and on and on about it. she would start making up cheers and dances when she was happy. like when she was in science class and she knew the answer because she could just be herself in that class. science was her favorite subject she gets that from her dad. Her gym coach always chosse her to be team captian, but she never chosse the "good" kids. She chosse the ones that she wanted to give a chance. Not because she felt sorry for them. but because they were diffrent from other kids. they were intresting, unique and wernt like all the other kids, same-old-same-old. They gave her that peice in her life that she needed, helping. she loved to help other people, to give someone guidence, and knowing when she needed help they would help her. In fact thats what she wanted to do with her life. she wanted to be a helper. she wanted to help kids. from the age she was a kid she wanted to help other kids. if there was a question she would answer it but, if she thought she was answering too many question and talking too much the didnt answer because she didnt like those types of people. she tried to get everyone to perticipate in class and engouraged people that wasent to sure in there answers. she helped them so that they were but when she needed help she wouldent be afraid to ask. That was the quality about her that nobody else had.
