An impoverish child will  not only lack focus,but will be psychological unbalanced. Poverty not only take a child's right away but made a child not to meet up with basic psychological needs needed to survive daily life challenges. Thus such a child will be struggling with academic pursuit.

The wrong notion; I can't make it or I can't do it attitude makes some children to conclude that intelligence  is fixed, and  usually go with wealth. Therefore a child with the mindset of  intelligence belief will find it difficult to progress when faced with  little challenges of  life.The fact that I can not do it, keeps on weakening  the zeal to forge ahead.
