Answer:

x=+12

Step-by-step explanation:

4(x+6)=6x=16

We move all terms to the left:

4(x+6)-(6x)=0

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

-6x+4(x+6)=0

We multiply parentheses

-6x+4x+24=0

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

-2x+24=0

We move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right

-2x=-24

x=-24/-2

Find the value of x in the triangle listed here. If you could show me the steps, I would appreciate it.
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

71°

Step-by-step explanation:

The triangle shown is an isosceles triangle. Isosceles triangles have two equal sides and two equal angles. When all 3 angles are added, it should have a sum of 180°. The tip of the triangle is the part of the triangle with the smallest degree/angle. So the two remaining angles are the same amount.

180°=38°+x+?

180°=38°+71°+71°

Both missing angles are the same degree, and when both are added to 38, it has a sum of 180. x is equal to 71°.

The polynomial equation x3+x2=-9x-9 has complex roots +-3i . What is the other root? Use a graphing calculator and a system of e
tresset_1 [31]
If the equation has roots of +-3i. The equation would be,
                                (x + 3i)(x - 3i)
which is equal to x^2 - (3i)^2 = x^2 + 3.
Using division either by synthetic or long method,
                                (x^3 + x^2 + 9x + 9)/(x^2 + 3)
is equal to,
                                        x + 1 or x = -1
Thus, the answer is the second choice.

I have no idea how this works, but that's not the point here. I really need help on this algebra problem;
Ulleksa [173]
Basically you want to make the equation so that you have
x>something or x<something so basically solve for x or isolate x so

a+bx>cx-d
try to get all the x's on one side
subtract bx from both sides
a>cx-bx-d
add d to both sides
a+d>cx-bx
undistribute
a+d>(x)(c-b)
divide both sides by (c-b)

tada

so the solution is

\frac{a+d}{c-b}>x or
x<\frac{a+d}{c-b}

2x=4y     | :2
x=2y   | :x

1=2y/x   :2

⇒ y/x= 1/2
