The biggest rule for functions in a table is that none of the numbers in the X column are repeating. But for the Y column, it is okay to have repeats.

When you look at the answer choices, you could eliminate B, C, and D because of repeats in the x column.

A IS A FUNCTION because all the numbers in the x column are different

B is NOT A FUNCTION because in the x column, there are 2 3's

C is NOT A FUNCTION because in the x column, there are 2 -5's and 2 -10's

D is NOT A FUNCTION because there are 2 20's

Your answer would be A.

Kamila [148]
15 - 2m = how much she has left.
so 15 minus 2 times the cost per book will tell you how much she has left.

Solve the following system by the elimination method.1/3x+y=0/3 and 1/6x+1/5y=9/10
tatiyna

Answer:

<h2>x = 9 and y = -3 → (9, -3)</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}\dfrac{1}{3}x+y=\dfrac{0}{3}&\text{multiply both sides by 3}\\\\\dfrac{1}{6}x+\dfrac{1}{5}y=\dfrac{9}{10}&\text{multiply both sides by 30}\end{array}\right\\[tex]\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}x+3y=0&\text{multiply both sides by (-2)}\\5x+6y=27\end{array}\right\\\underline{+\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}-2x-6y=0\\5x+6y=27\end{array}\right}\qquad\text{add both sides of the equations}\\.\qquad3x=27\qquad\text{divide both sides by 3}\\.\qquad\boxed{x=9}\\\\\text{Put the value of x to the first equation:}\\\\9+3y=0\qquad\text{subtract 9 from both sides}\\3y=-9\qquad\text{divide both sides by 3}\\\boxed{y=-3}[/tex]
