Area is 98 bc if you split the shape into two squares, you multiply the 5x10 to get 50 and 6x8 to get 48, then add those together to get the area which is 98. for perimeter just add all sides of the shape: 10+3+6+8+16+5, which equals 48. so the area and perimeter are both 48
