Translocation may be defined as the process of movement of a part or a chromosome from one location to the another location of other chromosome. Here, the chromosome four is translocated and exchanged with the portion of chromosome 12.

The prognosis that can be inferred regarding the sperm is that the probability of the occurrence of normal chromosome is 1/4. This might be possible in the sperm that 1/4 chromosomes may undergo translocation. The chances of prognosis of deletion and duplication is 1/2.
