In the 1940s and 1950s, what did the region described as being behind the 2 points
Oksanka [162]
The Iron Curtain was a political boundary dividing Europe into two separate areas from the end of World War II in 1945 until the end of the Cold War in 1991. The term symbolizes the efforts by the Soviet Union USSR to block itself and its satellite states from open contact with the West and its allied states. On the east side of the Iron Curtain were the countries that were connected to or influenced by the Soviet Union, while on the west side were the countries that were NATO members or nominally neutral. Separate international economic and military alliances were developed on each side of the Iron Curtain. It later became a term for the 7,000-kilometre-long 4,300 mi physical barrier of fences, walls, minefields, and watchtowers that divided the "east" and "west".

Please please help me. I need to write an opening statement and closing statement for our fake mock trial in government class an
mars1129 [50]

Opening statement

In an era where we are all connected and can view all of the world's events through the news, we come to understand and draw upon opinions that could affect the laws in place. In 1990, Congress passes the Gun-Free School Zone Act, or GFSZA for short, to reduce violence on a national level. However, this sparked debates on whether or not such a umbrella law would impede on individual state's law making rights. Congress, however, has the power to create general laws (as such as the GFSZA) that is aimed at protecting students and teachers a like. [You will add a general list of what you would bring up to support it here.]

-- Your reasons and historical examples, personal-experiences, historical laws --

Closing statement

--You will restate the general reasonings here -- Schools are allowed to make it's own choices that guarantee the safety of the students and teachers that attend there alike. The GFSZA is the step in the right direction in guaranteeing such safety, and with adequate funding for the protection of students, it can lead to a secure place for people to learn. Congress, as such, has the power to pass the GFSZA.

Answer:

In the Roman republic they hold a vote know as the overpowering vote which was a way to; as it says in title the "overpowering" vote was created to overpower/overthrow the leader of the country. it is also reported that they would speak to the kings "right hand man" and try to convince them that they are right about going to war and to enlighten the other republics claims in the field.

What do you think was roosevelt’s Greatest achievement as president?
sattari [20]

In my opinion, the Lend Lease Act is an even great contribution by Roosevelt than anything, including the New Deal.

The Lend Lease Act enabled the US to get on a war footing prior to the United States' entry into World War II.

Without the Lend Lease Act, the US would have been attacked in December of 1941 and would have found itself without the tools needed to respond.

The US likely would have lost to Japan in the Pacific as a result.
