Answer:

A. Scientists had to convert information from amino acids to nucleic acids.

Explanation:

Reverse transcriptase is the enzyme that can form the DNA copies of RNA template. The DNA formed by using RNA as template is called as cDNA. Since the amino acid sequence of insulin was known, the respective mRNA was synthesized using genetic codes. The mRNA was copied into its cDNA copy using reverse transcriptase enzyme. This was followed in insertion of insulin gene into the plasmid vector. hence,  using reverse transcriptase necessary for production of insulin gene from its known amino acid sequence.

In what stage of the cell cycle do chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell
anzhelika [568]

Answer:

The correct answer is metaphase.

Explanation:

During metaphase, the lining up of the chromosomes takes place at the metaphase plate, under the influence of the mitotic spindle. In each of the chromosomes, the sister chromatids are held together with the help of microtubules from the contrary spindle poles.

In metaphase, the spindle has captivated all the chromosomes and aligned them in the center of the cell, which is ready to differentiate.

Which of these factors affects how fast a sound wave moves? the kind of material it is moving through the kind of material it is
nalin [4]

Answer:

the kind of material it is moving through

Explanation:

Sound wave is a type of mechanical wave, which requires a medium to travel, unlike longitudinal waves that can travel through vacuums. Since, sound waves travel through mediums, the KIND OF MEDIUM/MATERIAL it is traveling through has a role to play on how fast it moves.

Sound waves move faster in materials whose molecules are closely packed together than those with loosely packed molecules. This is why sound waves naturally travel faster in SOLID materials. Therefore, the the kind of material the sound wave is moving through affects how fast it moves.
