Answer:

They occur between polar molecules.

Explanation:

 • Dipole-dipole Forces act between polar molecules that is between molecules that possess dipole moments.
 • It is electrical interactions between polar molecules.
 • The larger the dipole moments, the greater the force.
 • H-bonding is a special type of dipole-dipole forces that is between H-atom and an electronegative atom such as: N, O, F.
 • Dipole-dipole Forces are stronger than London dispersion forces.

So, the right choice is: They occur between polar molecules.

why cam you calculate the total pressure of a mixture of gases by adding together the partial pressures of the component gases?
goldenfox [79]

By applying Dalton's law of pressure equations we can calculate the total pressure of a mixture of gases by adding together the partial pressures of the component gases

Explanation:

Dalton's law of partial pressure is the concept used in calculating either partial pressure or total pressure in a given mixture of gases.

The law says that each gas has its own pressure which it puts on the mixture of gases. This pressure is called partial pressure. Also, the sum total of all the gases exerting pressure on the mixture is termed total pressure.

The quantity of individual gas can be known and hence it will get easy to calculate its partial pressure.

The relation used is:

Partial pressure = mole fraction of the one gas from mixture x total pressure in the mixture.

It also says that total pressure is equal to:

total pressure = p1 +p2+p3....pn

here p1, p2 is partial pressure of one of gases in mixture.

In any experiment the accuracy of the data and experiment can be improved. What are some things that can be done to improve data
NARA [144]

Answer:

Conduct more trials.

Add less variables.

Choose a different person

Explanation:

More trials gives plenty of data to be examined.

Less variables makes for less confusion, and less things to keep track of.

Different person ensures that the experiment is not being done by one single person who could be messing up the data

Boiling water is frequently used to kill parasites within the water. If you are boiling fresh water, and liquid water remains in
iogann1982 [59]

Answer: hello dear, your question seems incomplete, but, chill out not to worry let me give you one or two things you need to know in order to be able to solve this kind of question in the nearest future, check this out!.

Explanation:

In order to kill parasites and to make the water the be safe from microoganisms, boiling is a great procedure for making sure this happens, that is to say is the act of purification of water. However, when you over-boil water it also depletes the amount of oxygen present in the water.

When you boil water for the purpose of killing germs/ parasites, the PURIFIED PART IS THE WATER VAPOUR, the LIQUID WATER STILL HAS THE DEAD PARASITES IN THEM. That is the reason why the process called DISTILLATION is more efficient in purifying water is more efficient than ordinary boiling of water.

The liquid water remaining in the container after the boiling would have also been purified though, but it will still contain dead contaminants, so, filtering can be done or one can drink the water like that.
