1. The answer is 269.3 cm³.

The volume of a the rectangular prism (V) is the product of its length (l), width (w), and height (h):
V = l * w * h

According to the image:
l = 12.1 cm
w = 5.3 cm
h = 4.2 cm

Therefore,
V = 12.1 * 5.3 * 4.2 = 269.3 cm³

2. The answer is 1,756.3 yd³.

The volume of the triangular prism (V) is:
V = 1/4 * h √(a⁴ + 2(ab)² + 2(ac)² * b⁴ + 2(bc)² * c⁴)
where: h - height of the prism,
a, b, c - sides of the base

According to the image:
h = 24 yd
a = b = c = 13 yd

Therefore:
V = 1/4 * 24 * √(13⁴ + 2(13 * 13)² + 2(13 * 13)² * 13⁴ + 2(13 * 13)² * 13⁴)
V = 1756.3 yd³

A new truck that is coming out weights 2(1/2) tons. How much does the truck weigh in pounds?
lys-0071 [83]
Since each ton equals 2000 pounds you add 2000+2000+500 (because of the half) and it equals 4,500 pounds

1.The volume of a cube is 3,944.312 cubic centimeters. Find the length of a side. Round your answer to the nearest 10th and writ
eduard
When finding the volume of a cube, you would multiply the length x width x height. To find the volume, you would cube the length of one of the sides. For this problem, think of it as working backward because you're starting with the volume but need to know the length of a side. To do the opposite (or inverse) of cubing, you would instead find the cube root of the volume. The cube root of 3,944.312 cubic cm would give you 15.8 cm.

The formula for the volume of a cylinder is v = \pi r^{2} h. Take the numbers you are given in the problem and put them into the equation to get: v + \pi (3.2 x^{2} )(5). After calculation this equation, you will get an answer of 160.8495. Just round to the nearest tenth to get 160.8.
