Differential diagnosis:

1. Sudden, unilateral CP after trauma to the chest: Pneumothorax

2. Cough, SOB, and fever: Pneumonia

3. SOB with a 30-year history of smoking: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

4. Burning epigastric pain that is often exacerbated with ingestion of more acidic foods: Gastroesophageal reflux disease

Explanation:

Pneumothorax refers to collapsed lungs due to leakage of air into the space between the chest wall and lungs due to any trauma or injury to the lungs or chest, or lung diseases. Symptoms include sudden unilateral chest pain.

Pneumonia is an infectious disease caused by bacteria, virus, or fungi in the lungs which inflames the lung air sacs with purulent material. This leads to symptoms like cough, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing, chills and fever. Microbes like cause pneumonia.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease depicts chronic obstruction of airflow in the lung airways as a result of emphysema or chronic bronchitis. This is an inflammatory disease caused due to chronic smoking. Smoking reduces lung function, causes shortness of breath, chronic cough and wheezing with chest tightness, and other respiratory symptoms.

Gastroesophageal reflux disorder occurs due to the backflow of stomach acid into the esophagus and irritates lining of esophagus. This causes a burning sensation in the chest commonly referred as heartburn due to the proximity to heart, regurgitation of swallowed food, swallowing difficulty, and/or chest pain.

Aneli [31]

I believe the answer is: hypothesis

Hypothesis refers to the initial explanation that a researcher made to explain a certain occurrence before obtaining the evidence. The next step that the researchers do after making the hypothesis is arranging an experiment to proof whether their hypothesis is correct or wrong. Where can we find the roots of our problematic ideas about "cultural authenticity"?
sasho [114]

A cultural system creates a unique world that is experienced as "reality" by its members. The people of a certain culture come to accept the "realities" which form its culture.

However, when groups of different cultures come together, their "realities" become confronted. Creating a clash of cultures. The outcome of this clash is decided by the material power of each of this groups. The group with the most material will emerge victoriously and end up influencing the other group with its cultural system. Therefore, individuals from the influenced culture will end up learning a new "reality" by force. On the other hand, individuals of the influencing culture tend to see the others as "objects of study".

Clashes of cultures have been occurring throughout time, affecting the cultural authenticity of groups. Due to the constant blend of cultures, it is nowadays, very difficult to consider that a certain cultural group is "truly authentic".

The tendency for people to see their environment only as it affects them and as it is consistent with their expectations is know
Archy [21]

The tendency for people to see their environment only as it affects them and as it is consistent with their expectations is known as selective perception.

What is selective perception?

 • Selective perception is the process by which individuals perceive what they want to in media messages while ignoring opposing viewpoints. It is a broad term to identify the behaviour all people exhibit to tend to "see things" based on their particular frame of reference. It also describes how we categorize and interpret sensory information in a way that favours one category or interpretation over another.
 • In other words, selective perception is a form of bias because we interpret information in a way that is congruent with our existing values and beliefs. Psychologists believe this process occurs automatically.
 • Selective perception may refer to any number of cognitive biases in psychology related to the way expectations affect perception.
 • Human judgment and decision making is distorted by an array of cognitive, perceptual and motivational biases, and people tend not to recognise their own bias, though they tend to easily recognise (and even overestimate) the operation of bias in human judgment by others.
 • One of the reasons this might occur might be because people are simply bombarded with too much stimuli every day to pay equal attention to everything, therefore, they pick and choose according to their own needs.
 • Selective perception is also an issue for advertisers, as consumers may engage with some ads and not others based on their pre-existing beliefs about the brand.

describe how judicial review established the supreme court as an independent, coequal branch of government
expeople1 [14]

The Marbury v. Madison case introduced the diffuse control model of constitutionality of law, the judicial review, in modern constitutionalism, building on the US Supreme Court the principle of constitutional supremacy.

As a way of breaking with the English tradition of Parliament's sovereignty, from 1803, in the famous case Marbury v. Madison began to admit, on US soil, the judicial review or constitutional jurisdiction, which was therefore the intention of the judiciary to assume the right to control the constitutionality of the laws.

The judicial review is a legacy of genuinely jurisprudence conception and had as its starting point the judgment of the aforementioned case, even because, the American Constitution does not provide for the existence of constitutionality control in its text.
