Answer:

Is needed 452.32\ ft^{2} of sheet metal to build this tank

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

To find how much sheet metal is needed to build this tank including the top, calculate the lateral area of the cone plus the lateral area of the cylinder plus the area of the top of the cylinder

A=\pi rl+2\pi rh1+\pi r^{2}

we have

r=5\ ft

h1=8\ ft ----> height of the cylinder

h2=6\ ft ----> height of the cone

<em>Find the slant height of the cone l</em>

Applying Pythagoras Theorem

l^{2}=r^{2}+h2^{2}

substitute

l^{2}=5^{2}+6^{2}

l^{2}=61

l=\sqrt{61}\ ft

assume

\pi =3.14

A=(3.14)(5)(\sqrt{61})+2(3.14)(5)(8)+(3.14)(5)^{2}

A=122.62+251.2+78.5=452.32\ ft^{2}

If the perimeter of an equilateral triangle is 12 inches ,what is the side length
alexandr402 [8]

Answer:

4 in.

Step-by-step explanation:

By definition of a equilateral triangle, all sides and interior angle measurements are congruent.

Essentially, all interior angles = 60°

By definition of a triangle, a triangle has 3 sides. It is given that the total measurement of the sides is 12. Divide 12 with 3: 12/3 = 4

4 inches is the side length.

How is a net useful when finding the surface area of prisms and pyramids?
Sladkaya [172]
I believe it is because with a net you simply find the area, and measuring 2D shapes is far easier than 3D shapes.
Hope this helped!

HELP WITH THESE TWO MATH QUESTIONS PLEASE!!!<br> ASAP!
Brilliant_brown [7]
The first picture would be choice answer c because the number of x's represent how many birds wings are this size. The number on the tic mark represents the size of the wing span. So you would take the number of x's times the tic mark represented under it. There are 3 birds with 3 1/8  wingspan so it wold be 3 1/8 *3. Hoped this helps for the first one!
