After his graduation Chris the neighborhood where he grown up and he discovered that his father had continued an affair with his first wife even after starting a relationship and having children with Billie. Chris did not tell anyone but he had negative feelings about it. I think he should have forgive his father because in that way he would have been able to leave aside those negative feelings that made him a  resentful man.
