Compare and contrast populations and communities
zloy xaker [14]
A population is essentially just a collection of all living things in one category. People are one population, insects are another, etc. Communities are "more organized" populations. Soccer players hang out with soccer players, spiders hang out with spiders. We split into "our people" within our population.

I know that may be a little confusing, but if you have anymore questions feel free to ask. I hope I was able to help. Best of luck!

A researcher wants to determine if a new treatment program of yoga and vitamin A will improve test-taking skills in college stud
Ivan

Answer:

Option a

Explanation:

Random selection or random sampling from a given population is the most appropriate way, especially in experimental studies. This method is simple and accurate. According to the above-mentioned case, if the researcher selects students randomly for the experimental and control group, then each of them would have an equal chance of selection. Hence, the results would be generalized and not biased.

When comparing a cell just before the first meiotic division with another cell of the same organism that is ready to start mitos
Yakvenalex [24]

Answer:

III. Equal number of chromosomes.

Explanation:

Comparison between two cells, one cell just before first meiotic division and other cell ready to start mitosis is that both the cells have equal number of chromosomes.

Both the cells have an equal number of chromosomes that is 2n (diploid),  where n is 23 and total chromosomes are 46 in each cell but at the meiosis at the end meiosis produces four haploid (n) daughter cells and mitosis produces two diploid (2n) cells.

Hence, the correct answer is "III. Equal number of chromosomes.".
