Wind-Up is a condition of the Central Nervous System that demonstrates a growing perception of pain for repetitive painful stimuli. This condition may occur in animals after recovery from general anesthesia, where several pain stimuli were subsequently administered. When the effect of anesthesia passes, the patient feels an increasing perception of pain.
