To solve for y, you have to divide both sides by 3 to cancel the 3.  so when you divide 3y by 3, the "3" goes away and the "83" is reduced to 26 (2/3) so your equation is:
 y = 26 (2/3).

hope this helps (;

Name the kind or kinds of symmetry the following figure has: A
denpristay [2]
It is a straight line of symmetry because if you have a paper A and you fold it, it will form a straight line, and that is also meaning a straight line of symmetry. If you fold it any other way, it will not be a line of symmetry.

Hope this helps you ;)

In science class, the girl to boy ratio is 3 to 7. If there are 50 students total in class, how many are boys
Rzqust [24]

Step-by-step explanation:

3 girls:7 boys

50 students total

You have to multiply 7 by 5 to get 35

If you already multiplied one side by five, then you have to multiply the other side by five

3 times 5 is 15

15 + 35 = 50

So the

A thermometer is taken from an inside room to the outside, where the air temperature is 20° f. after 1 minute the thermometer re
fomenos

The change in the temperature is proportional to the difference in temperatures. Let's call the initial temperature of the room and the thermometer E_0 and the current temperature E(t) where t is the elapsed time in minutes.  The outside temperature is 20 F.

Newton's Law of Cooling:

E(t) - 20 = (E_0 - 20) e^{- k t}

We're given E(1)=70 \textrm{ and } E(5)=45

70-20 = (E_0 - 20) e^{-k}

45-20 =(E_0 - 20) e^{-5k}

Dividing,

\dfrac{50}{25}=e^{4k}

k = \dfrac 1 4 \ln 2

Now,

E(t) - 20 = (E_0 - 20) e^{- k t}

E_0 = 20 + (E(t) - 20)e^{k t}

E_0 = 20 + (E(1) - 20)e^{k}

E_0 = 20 + (70 - 20)e^{\ln 2/4}

E_0 = 20 + 50 \cdot 2^{1/4} \approx 79.46 \textrm{ degrees F}
