Vladimir79 [104]

Answer:

The rationale for conducting active policy is the interest of Congress to alter the state of the economy through a deliberate change in established policies.

But in the case of Passive policy, the government permits the status quo.

Active policy relies on the government to enforce it while passive policy does not need the government's interference to work in stabilizing the economy.

Explanation:

The following statements applies passive policy because the economy is expected to stabilize on it's own without the deliberate act of congress influencing it:

  • Economic circumstances can change dramatically between the time that an economic downturn begins and the time when policy actions have an effect on the economy.
  • Fluctuations in economic output have been less severe since World War II.

The following statements is a rationale for conducting active policy since the government's intervention is required:

  • Economists are not very accurate forecasters.
  • Increases in government spending generate increases in economic output.

Which do you think is better?/Which do you prefer? FedEx or UPS?
GrogVix [38]

Answer:

I personally like UPS because most of the times I have to send documents or goods domestically and UPS is very well known for its domestics shipments and I also prefer it because of its low rates as compared to FedEx which has higher rates. I am also comfortable with UPS because of its customer services. They respond to your query very quickly and try to resolve it as soon as possible. Their first priority is always their customers.

Last year Bold and Best accounted for 56.5% of Baldwin's sales. Over the next few years, what should worry Baldwin's management
DaniilM [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

4 worries about Bold and Best (BB) are:

- Demand for BB may fall in the next few years, as customers are now less interested in purchasing BB or there is another substitute product for BB which is available in the market.

- Input costs/Production cost for BB may rise in the next few years, may be because of shortage of raw materials.

- The decline in BB sales may affect Baldwin's profitability as a whole because BB's revenue is currently the largest portion of the total revenue.

- Real purchasing power of customers fall because of a rise in expected inflation in the economy, which will lead to a fall in sales of BB.

Bramble Corporation factors $252,500 of accounts receivable with Kathleen Battle Financing, Inc. on a with recourse basis. Kathl
attashe74 [19]

Answer:

Explanation:

Before passing the journal entry we have to do the calculations which is shown below:

The accounts receivable is $252,500

Financial charge = 2% of accounts receivable = $252,500 × 2% = $5,050

Recourse obligation fair value = $4,940

The loss on receivables sold would be = $5,050 + $4,940 = $9,990

Reserve amount =  4% of accounts receivable = $252,500 × 2% = $10,100

Now the journal entry would be shown below:

Cash A/c Dr $237,350

Reserve A/c Dr $10,100

Loss on receivables sold A/c Dr $9,990

      To Recourse liability                             $4,940

       To Accounts receivable                      $252,500

(Being the sale of receivables with recourse is recorded)
