M=y1-y2/x1-x2

Plug in x1, y1 and x2, y2 using your ordered pairs, (6,3); (4,8).
It makes it easier to label your ordered pairs so you don't get confused.
(X1= 6; Y1=3 || X2=4; Y2=8)

m=8-3/4-6
Subtract 8 from 3, which would be 5 (x).
Subtract 4 from 6, which would be -2(y).
Now, put them together to get your slope.
m=5/-2.

(6,3) (4,8)

Find the slope :)

m = y₂-y₁ / x₂-x₁

Plug in the values.

m = 8 - 3 / 4 - 6

Simplify.

m = 5/-2

So, the slope of -5/2

Slope-intercept form :

y = mx + b

Where m = slope, b = y-intercept.

y = -5/2x + 8

Evaluate the expression for x = 3, y = 1/3 , and z = 5.<br><br>12x − 3y / 4x − z
DIA [1.3K]

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Substitute the given values into the expression;</u>

12(3) - 3( \frac{1}{3} ) \div 4(3) - 5

<u>Multiply;</u>

36 - 1 \div 12 - 5

<u>Solve Using PEMDAS;</u>

36 -  \frac{1}{12}  - 5

35 \frac{11}{12}  - 5

\boxed{30 \frac{11}{12} }

Toby exercises 14 hours a week. John exercises 20% more than Toby and Jenny exercises two more hours than John. Which expression
sleet_krkn [62]
John exercised 20% more than Toby. So the number of hours that John exercises per week is 14 + 0.2(14) = 14 + 2.8 = 16.8.

Jenny exercises two more hours than John. So the number of hours that Jenny exercises per week is 16.8 + 2 = 18.8.

So an expression representing the number of hours that Jenny exercises after w weeks is 18.8w.
