Let

x--------> original image

y-------> modified image

F------> scale factor

we know that

y=Fx\\ \\F= \frac{y}{x}

if the scale factor produce an expansion under a dilation

then

y > x

\frac{y}{x} > 1\\ \\F > 1

therefore

<u>the answer is</u>

2 and 3

There are two possible answers to the question. I am choosing between 2 and 3.

2 and 3 can be the scale factors that produces and expansion under a dilation of the original image.

The original image is represented by 1. It is a dilation if the scale factor is more than 1. The value of the scale factor will increase if the dilated image is expanded.

8. Find the value of x so that line mis parallel to line l. (1 p<br><br> (3x+21)°<br><br> (4x-7)
dybincka [34]

Answer: The value of x is 28.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since line m is parallel to line l.

So, we assume that

(3x+21)° and (4x-7)° are corresponding angles.

And we know that , corresponding angles formed when a transversal cut the  parallel line are equal.

So, they must be equal to each other.

3x+21=4x-7\\\\21+7=4x-3x\\\\28^\circ=x

Hence, the value of x is 28.
