Answer:

it accounts for significant changes in physical and genetic changes as species adapt over a large period of time in ever changing conditions

Explanation:

First developed by C. Darwin, the natural selection is the process by which he observed different kinds of changes in traits of pidgeons and other species in the Galapagos islands. He inferred that these changes would occur as ambient constantly poses threats for life: the pidgeons need to assure they can have enough food for their offspring and the availabilty of prey is usually changes as different seasons provide. Some general conditions he established are necessary for natural selection to occur are: As more organisms are born than those who can survive. Organisms will always vary in their characteristics usually small changes within species. The differences in reproduction and survival are due to variation between organisms.

Those the nature, what natural selection turns then “the survival of the fittest” for short.

According to Charles Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection, organisms that possess heritable traits that enable them to better adapt to their environment compared with other members of their species will be more likely to survive, reproduce, and pass more of their genes on to the next generation.

Answer:

If the electron transport system did not work, electrons from PSII would not be transferred to PSI. Ferredoxin would then have no electrons to transfer to NADP+ so NADPH would not be produced. This would also affect the light-independent reaction of photosynthesis because NADPH is needed in this reaction.

SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer:

The correct answer is option d)"the percentage of pink flowers should increase over time".

Explanation:

In this study it is stated that two factors affect the flower coloration of Claytonia virginica: slugs preference of eating pink-flowering plants and bees preference of pollinating pink-flowering plants as well. If the researcher removes all slugs from the study population we can expect that the percentage of pink flowers should increase over time. The removal of the predator that prefers eating pink-flowering plants will favor the reproduction of this type of plants, which are also favored by bees pollination preference.

What is a Lytic infection and What is a lysogenic infection?
expeople1 [14]

Answer:

Infection of a bacterium by a bacteriophage with subsequent production of more phage particles and lysis, or dissolution, of the cell. The viruses responsible are commonly called virulent phages. Lytic infection is one of the two major bacteriophage–bacterium relationships.

Lysogeny, or the lysogenic cycle, is one of two cycles of viral reproduction. Lysogeny is characterized by integration of the bacteriophage nucleic acid into the host bacterium's genome or formation of a circular replicon in the bacterial cytoplasm.
