Answer:

1: Biodiversity

2: Species

3: Ecosystem

Explanation:

Biodiversity refers to species richness, genetic diversity of populations within a species and variety of ecosystems present on the earth. Hence, biodiversity is the variety present at all the levels of biological organization.

A group of individuals that can interbreed to produce fertile progeny is referred to as species.

Sum total of all living beings present in a region, climatic and edaphic factors makes an ecosystem. Living beings make the biotic component of the ecosystem while climatic and edaphic factors are abiotic components.

Explain why cold-blooded organisms like reptiles have a higher rate of secondary productivity than warm-blooded mammals.
PIT_PIT [208]
Warm-blooded creatures, like mammals and birds, try to keep the inside of their bodies at a constant temperature. They do this by generating their own heat when they are in a cooler environment, and by cooling themselves when they are in a hotter environment. To generate heat, warm-blooded animals convert the food that they eat into energy. They have to eat a lot of food, compared with cold-blooded animals, to maintain a constant body temperature. Only a small amount of the food that a warm-blooded animal eats is converted into body mass. The rest is used to fuel a constant body temperature.

.A researcher alters the DNA-binding domain of a glucocorticoid receptor to that of an estrogen receptor. How would the cells re
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]

Answer:

d) They would bind glucocorticoids, and initiate estrogen-dependent synthesis

Explanation:

Both Glucocorticoids and estrogens Hormones have important but distinct physiologic functions. These two hormones belongs to the two classes of steroid hormones. Both of these hormones binds to their specific receptors.

DNA binding domain is the domain that after activation by external factors such as hormones express the specific proteins by binding to specific region of the DNA.

As DNA binding domain of a glucocorticoid receptor is altered with DNA binding domain of estrogen receptor so it means binding site of the glucocorticoid hormone for glucocorticoid receptor remains the same and binds to glucocorticoids but on binding it activates the estrogen DNA binding domain which further binds to specific region in the DNA which initiates estrogen dependent synthesis.
