Answer:

see below

Step-by-step explanation:

a.  The years between 65 and 40 is

65-40 = 25 years

Multiply the decrease by the number of years

.06 *25 = 1.5 cm decrease

Change to inches

1.5 cm * 1 inch/2.54 cm =.59 inches

She will decrease .59 inches

5 ft 7 inches - .59 inches

5 ft 6.41 inches

b 90 years - 40 years = 50 years

50 * .06 =3 cm

Change to inches

3 cm * 1 inch/2.54 cm =1.18 inches

She will decrease 1.18 inches

Add this to her height now to get her height at 40

5 ft 1 inch + 1.18 inches = 5 ft 2.18 inches

The answer to the equation you posted The equation 4s = 33.4 models a constant rate situation. what is <span>the value of 2s is:
to make the given equation 4s = 33.4 to 2s, divide the whole equation by 2

1/2 ( 4s = 33.4)

Which equation represents the line that passes through (–6, 7) and (–3, 6)?
Softa [21]

Answer:

The equation that represents the line that passes through (-6,7) and (-3,6) is: y = -1/3x + 5

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of line for point=slope form is

y-y₁ = m(x-x₁)

Finding Slope m:

m= y₂-y₁/x₂-x₁

here y₂= 6,y₁= 7,x₂= -3,x₁= -6

m = 6-7/-3-(-6)

m = -1/-3+6

m = -1/3

The slope m = -1/3 and considering point (-6,7) the equation is:

y-y₁ = m(x-x₁)

y-7 = (-1/3)(x-(-6))

y-7 = -1/3(x+6)

y-7 = -1/3x -2

y = -1/3x-2+7

y = -1/3x + 5

So, the equation that represents the line that passes through (-6,7) and (-3,6) is: y = -1/3x + 5
