Compare the ideals of the 1920's with today.
zimovet [89]

Answer:

In the 1920s people were more optimistic about the future because the economy was growing very fast, many people were enjoying new amenities like a vaccuum cleaner or going to the cinema for the first time, and credit was cheap, including mortgages. Nowadays, people are more pesimistic due to recent economic crisis, stagnation of income for many people, and rising inequality.

In the 1920s, people were also much more socially conservative, to the point that during most of the decade, the sale of alcohol was prohibitied. Nowadays, most people are less conservative and more liberal compared with the 1920s past, being more empathetic towards alternative lifestyles, and diverging opinions.

According to the book With Good Reason: A Guide to Critical Thinking, what is the best way to extract an argument from a passage
Gelneren [198K]

The correct answer is letter D

Critical thinking involves an intentional judgment, in the sense of reflecting on what to believe or how to react to a thorough examination, to an experience, to an oral or textual manifestation, and even to other people's proposals. It is also linked to the definition of the content and value of the observation object.

With regard to a certain conclusion or reasoning, this thought assesses whether there is an appropriate reason for accepting the thesis as something authentic. Fisher and Scriven scholars argue that critical thinking is a competent and agile understanding of observations, exposures, knowledge and discussions.
