Answer:

Fact families and multiplication helps to divide . In any division problem, we use its divisor and check whether we get the dividend by multiplying a number to divisior.

For example:- Consider a division problem 40\div5

Here, Dividend= 40 and divisor = 5

Now, search the fact families of 5 which give 40 as an answer, we get

5\times8=40\ or\ 8\times5=40

\\\Rightarrow\ 40\div5=8

we can check our answer by multiplying divisor to the answer

5\times8=40

How to solve this equation
mariarad [96]
\bf \sqrt{5x+19}-4=3x-15
\\\\
\sqrt{5x+19}=3x-15+4\\\\ \sqrt{5x+19}=3x-11\leftarrow \textit{square both sides}
\\\\
(\sqrt{5x+19})^2=(3x-11)^2
\\\\
5x+19=(3x-11)^2\qquad
\begin{cases}
(3x-11)^2\to (3x-11)(3x-11)\\
 --------------\\
\textit{or use FOIL to expand it}
\end{cases}

then solve for "x"

The researcher is interested to know if policy A (new) is more effective than policy B (old). Frame the hypothesis and describe
vesna_86 [32]

<u>Answer:</u>

<u>Null hypothesis: Policy B remains more effective than policy A.</u>

<u>Alternate hypothesis: Policy A is more effective than policy B.</u>

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Remember, a hypothesis is a  usually tentative (temporary until tested) assumption about two variables– independent and the dependent variable.

We have two types of hypothesis errors:

1. A type I error occurs when the null hypothesis (H0) is wrongly rejected.

That is, rejecting the assumption that policy B remains more effective than policy A when it is <em>actually true.</em>

2. A type II error occurs when the null hypothesis H0, is not rejected when it is actually false. That is, accepting the assumption that policy B remains more effective than policy A when it is <em>actually false.</em>
