So 1+2 = 3.

6/2 = 3.

3x3=9.

Your answer is 9.

Find all values of $x$ such that $\dfrac{x}{x+4} = -\dfrac{9}{x+3}$. If you find more than one value, then list your solutions i
mixer [17]

We start with

\dfrac{x}{x+4} = -\dfrac{9}{x+3}

Assuming that x \notin \{-4,\ -3\} we can cross multiply the equation:

x(x+3) = -9(x+4) \iff x^2+3x=-9x-36 \iff x^2+12x+36=0

You can recognize the perfect square pattern in the quadratic equation:

x^2+12x+36 = (x)^2 + 2\cdot x \cdot 6 + (6)^2 = (x+6)^2

So, we have

x^2+12x+36=0 \iff (x+6)^2 = 0 \iff x+6=0 \iff x=-6

Which is the only solution, with multiplicity 2.

At a prize of Rs. 10 per unit the demand of a commodity is 200 units. Its prize elasticity of demand is (-)1×5. At what prize wi
Triss [41]

250 units would be demanded when price is $11.67.

<h3>What is price elasticity of demand?</h3>

Price elasticity of demand measures the responsiveness of quantity demanded to changes in price of the good.

Price elasticity of demand = percentage change in quantity demanded / percentage change in price

<h3>What is the price?</h3>

Percentage change in the quantity demanded = (250 / 200) - 1 = 25%

Percentage change in price = 25% / 1.5 = 16.67

Price = (1 + 0.1667) x 10 = 11.67
