As part of an Earth Science project, Erin tracked the amount of rain fall for 4 weeks. She started tracking after finding some i

nitial data on the year's rainfall to date: Week Rainfall 1 5.5 2 8 3 10.5 4 13 If the linear function representing the amount of rainfall each week is f(w) = 2.5w + 3, what does the 3 represent in this function?

The 3 that represent in this function is the "A. The amount of rainfall in week 0." zero weeks have passed, and there's already up to the 3 mark. if additional rain comes into the bin, the existing water is still there<span>so we add +3 every time</span>

Gail has eight united states coins. Their total value is 93 cents. What coins does she have?
Kryger [21]
8 coins = $0.93

3 quarters = $0.75
1 dime = $0.10
1 nickel = $0.05
3 pennies = $0.03

3 + 1 + 1 + 3 = 8 coins

$0.75 + $0.10 + $0.05 + $0.03 = $0.93

Can someone please explain step by step on how I subtract fractions like for an a example!
kotykmax [81]

Keep the denominators the same and subtract the numerators. So for example in your example:

7/8 - 3/8

Leave the 8 alone. Subtract 3 from 7.

7 - 3 = 4

So answer is:

4/8

Sometimes they may have to simplify the answer, and in this case, 4/8 could be simplified to 1/2

Total mass vs. numbers of cd and numbers of cd
Gekata [30.6K]

Answer: Choice A) M = 0.25n + 100

=============================================================

Explanation:

For now, I'll treat n as x, and M as y.

In other words,

  • x = number of CDs
  • y = total mass in kg

Let's select two points from this graph. I'll pick (200,150) and (400,200)

The slope of the line through those points is

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m = (200-150)/(400-200)

m = 50/200

m = 0.25

Now we'll use the point (x,y) = (200,150) along with that slope value to find the y intercept b

y = mx+b

150 = 0.25*200+b

150 = 50+b

150-50 = b

100 = b

b = 100

You could also use (x,y) = (400,200) and you should get the same b value.

In fact, any other point from this graph works as well.

------------------------------

Since m = 0.25 and b = 100, we go from y = mx+b to y = 0.25x+100

This then translates over to M = 0.25n + 100 which is choice A

To help verify this, let's say we plugged in n = 100

M = 0.25*n + 100

M = 0.25*100 + 100

M = 25 + 100

M = 125

Which is confirmed by what the graph shows. I'll let you check the other points as well.

Need help thank you.
madam [21]

Answer:

x = 20

Step-by-step explanation:

The three angles make up a straight line.

A straight line has 180 degrees.

x + 3x + 100 = x80          Combine

4x  +  100 = 180               Subtract 100 from both sides

4x = 180 - 100

4x  = 80                           Divide by 4

x = 80/4

x = 20
