There are two fruit trees located at (3,0) and (–3, 0) in the backyard plan. Maurice wants to use these two fruit trees as the f

ocal points for an elliptical flowerbed. Johanna wants to use these two fruit trees as the focal points for some hyperbolic flowerbeds. Create the location of two vertices on the y-axis. Show your work creating the equations for both the horizontal ellipse and the horizontal hyperbola. Include the graph of both equations and the focal points on the same coordinate plane.

Maurice wants to create a set of elliptical flower beds. To do this, he first plots the location of the two fruit trees on his graph.

Maurice has to use the equation a^2-b^2=c^2. We know that c=3, and because we need 1 more number to solve for b, I made a=6. 6^2-b^2=3^2. 36-b^2=9. b^2=27. b=5.196

<span>Next, to create the equation, we substitute what we know into the equation x^2/a^2 + y^2/b^2=1 and get x^2/36 + y^2/27=1. Johanna wants to create some hyperbolic flower beds.

We already know that c=3 so this time I decided a=1. 3^2=1^2+b^2. 9=1+b^2. 8=b^2. b=2.828

Next, to create the equation, we substitute what we know to the equation x^2/a^2 - y^2/b^2 = 1. x^2/1^2 - y^2/2.828^2 = 1. </span>

Answer:

-25

Step-by-step explanation:

128 \div ( {2}^{2})^{3}  -  {3}^{3}

= 128 \div  {4}^{3}  -  {3}^{3}

= 128 \div 64 - 27

USING BODMAS

= 2 - 27

=  - 25

If the volume of a triangular prism is 120 base l is is 6 and base h is is 5 what is the height
Studentka2010 [4]
The height would be 4 cubic centimeters. First, find the area of the prism's base, which is 6x5. This equals 30. Then, divide the volume by 30. 120/30=4 cubic centimeters. Hope this helped!

a quadratic equation has two colutions at x= 5 and x=-2. write the equation of this quadratic in standrad form
Tpy6a [65]
We will start by making each of the solutions a binomial which is equal to zero.
First solution:
x = 5
x - 5 = 0
Second solution:
x = -2
x + 2 = 0
Then we can multiply the two together using FOIL.
0 = (x - 5)(x + 2)
0 = x^2 - 5x + 2x - 10
0 = x^2 - 3x - 10
Since solutions (colutions as you like to call them) are found at f(x) = 0, the 0 can be replaced with f(x).
f(x) = x^2 - 3x - 10
