What is the total surface area of the box formed by the pattern below
nadezda [96]

Answer:

<h2>The total surface area of the box is 224 square inches.</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The box pattern is shown in the image attached.

The total surface is the sum of the area of each section of the figure, which is formed by 4 equal rectangles and 2 equal squares. Rectangles have dimensions of 12 inches by 4 inches, and squares have 4 inches per side.

So, the total surface would be

S_{total}=S_{squares}  +S_{rectangles}\\ S_{total}=2(4in)^{2} +4(12in \times 4 in)\\ S_{total}=2(16in^{2})+4(48in^{2} ) \\ S_{total}=32in^{2}+192in^{2}\\   S_{total}=224in^{2}

Therefore, the total surface area of the box is 224 square inches.

As a small step to save the environment, Luna came up with an idea for her sweet shop. In exchange for five eclaire boxes, that
zavuch27 [327]

Answer: 15

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we are informed that in exchange for 5 eclaire boxes, that Luna gets, she decided to give 1 eclaire box for free.

Then, the number of eclaires boxes that they can buy from Luna using 77 claire boxes will be:

= 77 / 5

= 15 2/5

= 15 approximately

They'll get 15 boxes of eclaires from Luna.

Find the value of X. If necessary, round your answer to the nearest tenth.
svetlana [45]

Answer:

D. 10

Step-by-step explanation:

The chord is bisected as shown by the perpendicular lines and right angle, so both segments are 6.

Draw a radius from the center to the end of the chord to create a right triangle. 8 and 6 are the legs, use pythagorean theorem to find the length of the segment you drew because its the hypotenuse.

8^2+6^2=x^2

64+36

100

square root of 100 is 10

So, 10 is the length of the segment. Both the x segment and the 10 segment are radii because they are draw from the center to a point on the circle.

They are equal.

x=10

A restaurant has a 3/4 pan of lasagna.if the cost is 20 dollars per 1/3 of a pan ,how much for the 3/4?
kumpel [21]

Answer:

3/4 pan of lasagna costs $45.

Step-by-step explanation:

The cost of 1/ 3 pan of lasagna = $20

The amount of lasagna available in restaurant = 3/4 pan

Now cost of 1/3 pan lasagna = $20

So, the weight of 1 full pan =3 \times  {\textrm{The cost of }}(\frac{1}{3}) {\textrm{pan of lasagna}}

=   3 x$ 20 = $60

⇒ 1 complete pan costs $60

So, 3/4 pan costs \frac{3}{4}  \times 60 = 45

Hence, 3/4 pan of lasagna costs $45.
