A dietitian wants to know the average time spent on breakfast in a primary school. The dietitian randomly samples 25 students an

d finds that the average is 12.6 minutes with a standard deviation of 1.53 minutes. Assume that the distribution of the time spent on the breakfast is normally distributed. The dietitian finds a 95% confidence interval for this sample is:_________ (11.968, 13.232).
a. The margin of error is 0.632
b. The margin of error is 1264.
c. The margin of error is 0.600.
d. We believe that the true mean time spent on breakfast is between 11.968 and 13.232 minutes.
e. If we take many other samples from this population, 95% of them will have a sample mean that is between 11968 and 13232.
f. There is a 95% chance that the true mean is between 11.968 and 13.232 minutes.

Answer:

The right options are:

a. The margin of error is 0.632

f. There is a 95% chance that the true mean is between 11.968 and 13.232 minutes.

Question: select one or more correct options.

Step-by-step explanation:

The margin of error can be calculated from the upper and lower bounds of the confidence interval as:

E = (UB - LB)/2 = (13.232-11.968)/2 = 1.264/2

E = 0.632

As the confidence interval is calculated at 95% confidence, we are 95% confident that the true mean is within the calculated interval. So, there is a 95% chance that the true mean is between 11.968 and 13.232 minutes. Although we are not 100% confident (that's why Option d is false).

Also, this interval does not give us information about the sampling distribution (option e is false).

Need help finding the parallel and perpendicular slope
Rudik [331]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(x₁, y₁) = (19 , -4)   & (x₂ ,y₂) = (17, -20)

Slope =\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}

        = \frac{-20-[-4]}{17-19}\\\\= \frac{-20+4}{17-19}\\\\= \frac{-16}{-2}\\\\= 8

m = 8

Parallel lines have same slope.

Parallel slope = 8

Slope of perpendicular line = \frac{-1}{m}

Perpendicular slope = \frac{-1}{8}

Julia measured the high temperature in her town for one week. Using the chart below, find the mean absolute deviation for the hi
Alex
Finding the mean is you have to add it all up:
49+55+52+46+47+42+38= 328
The divide it by the amount of numbers so, 329/7= 47.
Subtract 47 from every number then, but even if you get a negative number you gotta keep it a positive so just ignore it if you get a negative answer when subtracting, once you do that you would add up those answers you got so;
2+8+5+1+0+5+9= 30
Then divide it again, 30/7
Which then you get the M.A.D which is 4.3, rounded to the nearest ten.
