I got the last one..maybe!(a bit confused due to the negative sign in the first term..) but the last one seems to me the most sensible answer.

Don works in home construction. He determined that the function t(A)=144A/9.252 gives the total number of 9 in. tiles needed to
Oksanka [162]

Answer:

6,226 tiles of 9 in are needed to cover an area of 400 square feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

A -----> an area in square feet

t(A) ---> the total number of 9 in. tiles needed

we have

t(A)=\frac{144A}{9.252}

For A=400 ft^2

substitute in the equation and solve for t

t(400)=\frac{144(400)}{9.252}

t(400)=6,226\ tiles

That means -----> 6,226 tiles of 9 in are needed to cover an area of 400 square feet

What expression is equivalent to 7sqrtx^2/5sqrty^3
V125BC [204]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Sounds as tho' possible answer choices were listed.  Please, share them without being asked to do so.  Thank you.

 7√(x²)          7√(x²)

------------- = ----------------------

  5 √(y³)        5√( y^(3/2) )

We want to get the fractional exponent out of the denominator.  To do this, multiply both numerator and denominator by y^(1/2):

 7√(x²)          7√(x²)                y^(1/2)      7√(x²)·y^(1/2)       7x√y

------------- = --------------------- * ----------- = --------------------- = ----------

  5 √(y³)        5√( y^(3/2) )       y^(1/2)        5 √(y²)                  5y

This is the final answer.  We have succeeded in removing radicals / fractional exponents from the denominator.
