Free_Kalibri [48]

Answer:

Virginia company followed a number of ways to bring success to England. Virginia Company, also known as, Virginia Company of London is a commercial trading company. The owner of this company was King James I of England in April 1606.

The Virginia Company played an important role in bringing success to England. Firstly, it began to bring women and skilled workers. Also, it granted lands to new settlers. Both of these steps encouraged the complete family groups to migrate at one place. Since the ladies were also involved, people moved in large numbers as they could earn well.

How did the role of religion differ between feudal Japan and feudal Europe
uysha [10]
That's an interesting question. Feudal Japan had a more formalized and ritualized kind of culture than feudal Europe did; elaborate rules of courtesy applied at all levels of society, whereas European peasants were pretty crude for the most part. In both societies there was a unifying religious principle, which in Europe was Christianity and the authority of the Church, and in Japan was shintoism and the authority of the Emperor. In both cases, a social hierarchy attempted, with considerable success, to control everyone's lives; everyone owed their fealty to someone, except for the kings in Europe or the Emperor in Japan, who didn't owe loyalty to anyone, since there was no higher authority (at least, not counting deities). Both societies had similar types of weaponry (European armor was considerably tougher) and skilled swordsmen were much to be feared and respected. In the lower classes, life was cheap. Neither society had any concept of human rights; only the nobility had rights.

During the 1840s, more Americans than British settled in the Oregon Country. How do you think this settlement influenced negotia
Lemur [1.5K]
The Treaty of 1818 between the US and Britain stated the Oregon Country would be jointly occupied by the US and Britain. But it resulted in disputes between Americans and British and another treaty, the Oregon Treaty, was signed in 1846. It stated the Oregon Country would be divided in two. The US would get all the land south of the 49th parallel (which eventually became the states of Washington and Oregon) and the British would get all the land north of the 49 parallel (which became British Columbia). Except for Vancouver Island off the coast of the Oregon Country, 4/5's of Vancouver Island was north of the 49th parallel so the US said Britain could have all of it instead of splitting it at the 49th parallel.
