If you are a vegetarian or a vegan, beans are a stock item in the daily diet. Navy and pinto beans are particularly part of your larder or should be. So I would say they are universally used by anyone who has restrictions in their diet (like vegetarians).

My wife and I are both meatless. We are lax, however: cheese and cream soups is something I don't wish to live with out. She likes eggs, cheese and no cream soups. She does wonderful things with beans and rice. Her soups are to die for.

We live in Canada, so I think soup beans are pretty universal, but the south might have dishes that are found nowhere else.

TiliK225 [7]

Answer:

to learn about the struggles and triumphs of slaves.

Freedom is more than material gains.

Explanation:

Harriet Tubman was known to be an American abolitionist and political activist. She was known to be born into slavery, but was later able to escape slavery, and subsequently led hundreds of enslaved people to freedom.

It was made known that she was able to escape slavery in 1849 due to the death of her owner. And fled to Philadelphia from Maryland, where she was enslaved, after her escape.

The total number of slaves that Harriet Tubman was able to help to escape were 300.

In sense, she discovered that, to be free is very important and should never be compared with material gains. This means that , material things can only be acquired when you are not enslaved.

Iteru [2.4K]

Answer:

Society

Explanation:

I chose to compare and contrast the United States culture with the culture in Japan. There are a few similarities between the two, such as a love of the arts, fashion, and baseball. However, they are more culturally different than similar in very major aspects. Japan is a very homogenous society made up of about 98% ethnic Japanese.

Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Answer:

selective optimization with compensation theory

Explanation:

This theory by Baltes(1990) in symbolic interaction perspective suggests that as individuals get older they seem to try to get the best results from the most little efforts. In other words, an older elderly person with physical limitations seeks to optimize his gains as much as possible while putting as much little effort as is possible(within his physical ability) to compensate for other losses or range of goals that may not have been accomplished.
