Variable: "c" for number of comics.
Equation: 2 people times the number of comics plus kenny has 9 more is 95.
= 2c + 9 = 95

Solve: isolate the variable.
when doing something (+, -, x, /) to one side, need to do the same the other side too.

2c + 9 = 95
2c + 9 - 9 = 95 - 9
2c = 86
2c /2 = 86/2
c = 43

Check your answer:
2 x 43 + 9
86 + 9
= 95

Hope this helped or answered your problem

Solve the system of equations. If the system has no solution, say that it is inconsistent. Graph the lines of the system.
8090 [49]

Answer:

  c. The system is inconsistent

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiplying the first equation by 2 gives ...

  4x +2y = 4

Compare this to the second equation:

  4x +2y = -5

There are no values of x and y that can satisfy both equations. The system is inconsistent.

In which of these figures appear to contain a set of lines that is neither parallel nor perpendicular?
Art [367]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

The lines in A meet at a right angle (90°) so they are perpendicular.

The lines in B meet at a right angle (90°) so they are perpendicular.

The lines in C do not meet and appear to be parallel.

The lines in D meet at an angle that does not appear to be 90°, so they are neither perpendicular nor parallel.
