The three main subatomic particles that form an atom are protons, neutrons, and electrons. The center of the atom is called the nucleus. First, let's learn a bit about protons and neutrons, and then we will talk about electrons a little later. Protons and neutrons make up the nucleus of an atom

Degger [83]

Answer:

Weathering (breaking down rock) and erosion (transporting rock material) at or near the earth's surface breaks down rocks into small and smaller pieces. ... If the newly formed metamorphic rock continues to heat, it can eventually melt and become molten (magma).

I need half reactions, for the following equation.
zhuklara [117]
Answer : Half reaction is defined as the reaction which will be <span>either the oxidation or reduction </span>reaction<span> of particular species in a given redox </span>reaction<span>.

So as per the definition in the reaction of,

</span>Ba + ZnSO_{4}  ----\ \textgreater \  BaSO_{4}  + Zn
<span>
</span>Ba_{(s)} + Zn ^{+2} + SO_{4}^{-2} = Ba^{+2} + SO_{4}^{-2} + Zn_{(s)}
<span>
here on left and right side </span>SO_{4}^{-2} will get cancelled.

and we will get, Ba_{(s)} + Zn ^{+2}  = Ba^{+2} + Zn_{(s)}

Here,
Ba_{(s)} ----\ \textgreater \  Ba^{+2} - 2e^{-} ...this is oxidation reaction as Ba is getting reduced to Ba^{+2} by losing 2 electrons.

whereas,on the other hand,  Zn ^{+2} ----\ \textgreater \ Zn_{(s)} + 2e ^{-}...this is reduction reaction as Zn ^{+2} is getting reduced to Zn by gaining 2 electrons.

How do the isotopes carbon-13 and carbon-14 differ?"
andreyandreev [35.5K]

Answer:

Carbon exists in several isotopes. ... Carbon-12 has 6 neutrons, carbon-13 has 7 neutrons, and carbon-14 contains 8 neutrons. Carbon-12 and 13 are stable isotopes, which means that the nucleus does not undergo radioactive decay. Carbon-14 possesses an unstable nucleus which undergoes radioactive decay.

People tend to speak more quietly in restaurants than they do when they are having an ordinary conversation Restaurant conversat
MArishka [77]

Answer:

A loud ordinary conversation following the supplied information in the question is about 4500 dB. But, in the official decibel system measure a loud conversation does not overcome 100 dB.

Explanation:

Using the supplied data of the exercise, we say that in a restaurant conversation the value is 45 dB. If we multiply this by 100 we will have a value for a laud ordinary conversation.

45×100 = 4500 dB.

but as I mentioned in the answer, in the official decibel system measure a loud conversation between 2 man reaches a maximal of 100 dB.
