If you are splitting <em>b</em> bumper stickers between <u>4</u> members, you must divide the number of bumper stickers by the number of members, which is 4! Dividing is just like if you were to divvy something up between people, but it is a mathematical term! This will give you b / 4.
If the slope was a horizontal line, then we could say y=2, however, it is only going through the x-axis so it would be x=2, but in terms of y it is undefined.
