2.75a=19.25
 19.25/2.75
a = 7

- So basically what I did was convert 2 3/4 and 19 1/4 into decimals. From there I divided 2 3/4 (2.75) by 19 1/4 (19.25) and I got 28.
- The numbers in parenthesis is the numbers in decimals.
 - I hope that helps!!!!!

Evaluate each expression for the given values of the variables.
antiseptic1488 [7]
All of these involve simple substitution. Just replace the variable with the actual value.

8z + 3 >>> 8(8) + 3 = 64 + 3 = 67

3(7+ x^2) >>> 3(7 + 2^2) = 3(7 + 4) = 3(11)=33

s - 5t + s^2 >>> 4 - 5(-1) + 4^2 = 4 + 5 + 16

Get the trend? I am not sure I get that last one, is it:

x - y*3^2?

if a quadratic equation with real coefficients has a discriminant of -36 then what type of roots does it have
Aleks04 [339]

Step-by-step explanation:

We have,

If a quadratic equation with real coefficients has a discriminant of -36.

The general form of quadratic equation is :

ax^2+bx+c=0

The discriminant of this equation is : D=b^2-4ac

If D=0, it will have 1 real roots

If D>0, it will have 2 real roots

If D<0, it will have no real roots

We have,

D = -36 < 0, so, the quadratic equation will have no real roots.
