Okay so I’m trying to understand something for my CER. I did a lab on objects that have an equal mass but volume and density var

y. Now I need to defend why the volume increased and the density decreased. I’m having trouble wrapping my head around to 1. Defend that and 2. If mass is extrinsic or intrinsic and why?

You know that Density = Mass/Volume, right? In symbols,

<em>D</em> = <em>m</em>/<em>V.</em>

If mass (<em>m</em>) is constant, let’s replace <em>m</em> with the symbol k to represent a constant. Then,

<em>D</em> = k/<em>V</em> or <em>D</em> ∝ 1/V

Density and Volume are <em>inversely proportional</em>. When one goes up, the other goes down and vice versa.

Mass is an extrinsic property because it depends on how much of the material you have. The more material you have, the greater its mass will be.

Goshia [24]

Answer: Option A

Explanation:

Increase in temperature will  increase the yield of the product and cause a shift to the right.

<h2>What is an Endothermic reaction?</h2>

This is the type of reaction in which reactants absorb heat energy from the surroundings to form products.

This depicts that an increase in temperature will increase the yield of products thereby making option A the most appropriate choice.

Suppose hydrochloric acid reacts with potassium sulfite yielding water, sulfur dioxide, and potassium chloride. Suppose 4 moles
anzhelika [568]

Answer:

128 grams of sulfur dioxide are produced.

Explanation:

2HCl+K_2SO_3\rightarrow SO_2+2KCl+H_2O

Moles of HCl = 4 moles

According to reaction, 2 moles of HCl gives 1 mole of sulfur dioxide gas.

Then 4 moles of HCl will give:

\frac{1}{2}\times 4 moles=2 moles of sulfur dioxide gas.

Mass of sulfur dioxide gas = 2 mol × 64 g/mol = 128 g

128 grams of sulfur dioxide are produced.
