Answer: x = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given polynomial function,

f(x) = 3x^3-8x^2 + 3x + 2,

According to question, If x = 1 is a zero of the polynomial function f(x) = 3x^3-8x^2 + 3x + 2

Therefore, (x - 1) is the factor of f(x) = 3x^3 - 8x^2 + 3x + 2

By dividing 3x^3- 8x^2 + 3x + 2 by (x - 1)  (mentioned in below diagram)

We get, 3x^2-5x-2.

Therefore, 3x^3 - 8x^2 + 3x + 2=(x - 1)(3x^2-5x-2)

⇒3x^3 - 8x^2 + 3x + 2=(x - 1)(3x^2-6x+x-2)  (by grouping method)

⇒3x^3- 8x^2 + 3x + 2=(x - 1)(3x+1)(x-2)

Thus, x-2 is a factor of  3x^3- 8x^2 + 3x + 2,

Therefore, x=2 is a zero of 3x^3- 8x^2 + 3x + 2

Divide 3x^3 -8x^2+3x  + 2 by (x - 1)

THis gives the quotient   3x^2 - 5x - 2

3x^2 - 5x -  2  = (3x + 1)(x  - 2 )

so x = 2 is another root

Its  the first choice

Amira and Mandisa sell balloon animals at different stands on the boardwalk. They each use a constant number of balloons per ani
MAXImum [283]

Mandisa uses 5 balloons for each animal, this means that Mandisa uses more.

<h3>Linear equation</h3>

Linear equation is in the form:

y = mx + b

where y, x are variables, m is the slope of the line and b is the y intercept.

Let y represent the number of balloons for x animals.

Amira uses 4 balloons for each animal.

For Mandisa, using the table using (20, 225) and (60, 25):

slope(m)=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}=\frac{25-225}{60-20}=-5

Therefore Mandisa uses 5 balloons for each animal, this means that Mandisa uses more.

Lydia has 400$ in her bank account. Each week she withdraws 10$ for spending money. She also uses 5$ each week to get credit on
Softa [21]

Answer:

400 - 15x < 300

Step-by-step explanation:

We are told that she has 400$ in her bank account.

Now, Each week she withdraws 10$ for spending money. She also uses 5$ each week to get credit on her apple account.

Total total withdrawal each week = 10 + 5 = $15

If number of weeks she has been withdrawing is x, then would have withdrawn $15x after x number of weeks.

Thus, amount left after x number of weeks is:

400 - 15x

We want to find the inequality statement can be used to determine how many weeks it will take for her bank account balance to drop below 300.

Thus;

400 - 15x < 300
