In my opinion, no. Others may think that when you subtract this way, it is much easier. My way to subtract numbers is below:-

Example: 17 - 11

Take the numbers that seem easy to add.

10 - 10 = 0

7 - 1 = 6

6+0 = 6

Now, we know that 17 - 11 = 6

We could have done it this way:-
