1.75. i subtracted 5 from 0. got 5. you cant subtract 5 from 2, so you have to borrow from the 8, make it a 7, and make 2 into 12. then i subtracted 5 from 12 and got 7. i brought down the decimal and then subtracted 6 from 7 and got 1. the answer is 1.75.
