Institutional racism which is also known as the systemic racism, is referred as the form of racism that is expressed or described in practice of political and social institutions. The term was first coined and used by Carmichael and Charles Hamilton in 1967 in their paper Black Power. It is also reflected in several disparities regarding criminal justice, wealth, employment, income, health care, housing, political power and education etc.
