Answer:

I have matched them below

Explanation:

each of the columns have been properly matched below:

2. insulates against heat loss = a. adipose connective tissue

3. forms the fibrous joint capsule =

c. dense irregular connective tissue

4. makes up the intervertebral discs = g. fibrocartilage

5. composes basement membranes; a soft packaging tissue with a jellylike matrix = b. areolar connective tissue

6. forms the larynx, the costal cartilages of the ribs, and the embryonic skeleton = h. hyaline cartilage

7. provides a flexible framework for the external ear = e. elastic cartilage

8. provides levers for muscles to act on = i. osseous tissue

The binding of a compound to an enzyme is observed to slow down or stop the rate of the reaction catalyzed by the enzyme. Increa
Setler79 [48]

Answer:

The correct answer is A the compound is a competitive inhibitor

Explanation:

Competitive inhibitor competes with the substrate to bind to the active site of the target enzyme and after binding to the active site the inhibitor slow down or stop the reaction catalyzed by that enzyme.

Competitive inhibitor basically effects the Km value of the enzyme thus decreasing the activity of the later.

Increasing the substrate concentration displace the inhibitor from the enzyme"s active site thus reducing the inhibitory effects of the later thus increasing the activity of the enzyme.

Does anyone know how to graph this? Please help I’m desperate
erastova [34]

Answer:Hopefully you feel comfortable with what a number line is. A graph is two number lines (called the x axis and the y axis) which cross each other at zero. A linear equation is a relationship between the two number lines. So if I gave you the linear equation “y=x”, this means if you pick a number on the x axis, the equation tells you what the number is on the y axis. So if you picked x=10, then you would know y=10. You can then draw a point at the co-ordinate (10,10), the point is there to tell you that the equation is true at that point. You can then pick another x, say x=9, then you know y=9 and you can put a point at (9,9), so you know the equation is true at that point also. You can do this with any number that you pick for x, and if you did that for every number, all the points you draw would turn into a line.

Why did Mendel use pea plants in his experiments?
Digiron [165]

Answer:

C.) They self-fertilize

Explanation:

Mendel used pea plants because they self fertilized, meaning that the plant could supply a sperm and egg cell so it could produce its own offspring. This makes the process of looking at genetics and traits much easier for the scientist studying the genes of plants.
