6 0

Answer:

Let the smaller number be x

Then the sum is

(6 + 2x) + x = 27

We now find for x

2x + x + 6 = 27

3x + 6 = 27

3x = 27-6

3x = 21

x = 21/3

x = 7

Therefore the smaller number is 7

The larger number is (2×7) + 6 = 20

10+1/3y=1 what is the answer for this
andrew11 [14]
Hi, the answer should be: y= -27

First Simplify both sides:
1/3y + 10= 1
Then subtract 10 from both sides:
1/3y+ 10- 10= 1 -10
1/3y= -9
Next multiply both sides by three:
3•(1/3y)= (3)•(-9)
Y= -27

I hope this helped if you need more help on understanding how to solve this I recommend math papa.

Which of the following is the graph of y = negative (x minus 2) cubed minus 5?
inysia [295]

Step-by-step explanation:

(x-2)^3 = x^3-6x^2+12x-8

-(x^3-6x^2+12x-8)=

-x^3+6x^2-12x+8

-x^3+6x^2-12x+8 -5=

y=-x^3+6x^2-12x+3
