(1) the diameter is 20 inches whats the radius? And whats the circumference?

Radius is half the diameter, Answer: 10 inches

Circumference is pi times the radius, Answer: 10π inches

I won't bother with the approximation, though this one is easy, 31.4159 inches.  I'll leave the rest of the calculator work to you if necessary.

(2) the diameter 11 inches whats the radius? And whats the circumference?

Radius half, Answer: 5.5 inches.   Circ: 5.5π inches

(3) the diameter 3.5 inches whats the radius? And whats the circumference?

Radius, 1.75 inches.  Circ: 1.75π inches

Consider the following 8 numbers, where one labelled X is unknown.
Effectus [21]

Answer:

55,-3

Step-by-step explanation:

We\ are\ given\ that,\\There\ are\ eight\ numbers\ in\ the\ data :\\17,18,24,x,44,48,42,4\\Where\ the\ value\ of\ x\ is\ what\ we\ need\ to\ find.\\Range\ of\ the\ data=51\\Hence,\\We\ know\ that\ the\ range\ is\ the\ difference\\ between\ the\ highest\ observation\ and\ the\ lowest\ observation\ in\ the\ data.\\We\ may\ know\ see\ two\ cases\ of\ evaluating\ x\ when:\\1. x\ is\ the\ highest\ observation\ in\ the\ data\ or\ x>48.\\Highest\ observation\ =x\\Lowest\ observation=4\\Hence,\\

As\ range=51,\\x-4=51\\x=51+4\ [Adding\ 4\ on\ both\ the\ sides]\\x=55 \\2. x\ is\ the\ lowest\ observation\ or\ x

Find a formula for the general term an of the sequence, assuming that the pattern of the first few terms continues. (assume that
Lilit [14]
Your sequence
  -8, 16/3, -32/9, 64/27
is a geometric sequence with first term -8 and common ratio
  (16/3)/(-8) = (-32/9)/(16/3) = -2/3

The general term an of a geometric sequence with first term a1 and ratio r is given by
  an = a1·r^(n-1)
For your sequence, this is
  an = -8·(-2/3)^(n-1)

0=-20.5x+16.35x-0.1245
Pachacha [2.7K]

The value of x in the given equation -20.5x+16.35x -0.1245 = 0\\ is 0.03

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

The given equation is that -20.5x+16.35x -0.1245 = 0\\

<u>The steps to be followed to solve the equation are :</u>

Add the like terms together to reduce the equation in a simplified form.

Here, there are two x terms and they must be reduced to a single term.

For this, add the both terms together so that the equation is simplified into one x term and a constant term.

⇒ (-20.5x+16.35x) - 0.1245 = 0

⇒ 4.15x-0.1245 = 0

To eliminate the constant term on the left side of the equation, add 0.1245 on both sides.

⇒ 4.15x -0.1245+0.1245 = 0.1245

⇒ 4.15x = 0.1245

Now, the equation is further simplified by dividing 4.15 on both sides,

⇒ 4.15x / 4.15 = 0.1245/4.15

⇒ x = 0.03

Therefore, the value of x is 0.03
