The correct answer is A. rainforests are responsible for most global oxygen turnover.
This is not true because rainforests, even though they have a lot of trees, are very humid, and actually take up a lot of oxygen to be able to 'feed' the vegetation found there. Other forests actually provide most oxygen in the world, but not rainforests. The other options are correct.

Rainforests are responsible for most global oxygen turnover.

Further Explanation:

Rainforest are those forest which experiences continuous rainfall. Nearly 40 to 75% of the biotic species are present in the rainforest. There are millions of species of plants, animals, insects. They are called “jewels of the earth” and also the world‘s largest pharmacy because one-quarter of the natural medicines are found here. They are responsible for 28% of the world’s oxygen turnover and is named as oxygen production. We found some undergrowth in the rainforest because of the poor penetration of the sunlight. If the canopy is destroyed then the ground beneath soon gets colonized by the dense growth of shrubs, vines and small tree referred to as jungle. But the rainforest is single disappearing due to deforestation that results in habitat loss and pollution in the atmosphere. The Tropical rainforest is wet and warm with no dry season. Most of the tropical rainforest area in the inter tropical convergence zone. They exist in Southeast Asia like Myanmar,  Malaysia, Sri Lanka. Tropical rainforest are known as Earth’s lungs. The temperate rainforest has temperate regions like North America, Columbia, Australia, and NewZealand.
